Duty to provide oversight
& governance

The duty of the Board of Directors is to provide oversight and governance in the following ways:

To define and preserve the Cross Road Health Ministries Mission;
To create policy consistent with the Mission; to safeguard assets;
To select, evaluate, and support the CEO;
To monitor & evaluate Medical Center operations;
To monitor & evaluate Board performance;
To perform long range strategic planning;
To serve as a link to the community;
To ensure the organization complies with state and federal laws

Choosing the right members

Whenever possible, board members are chosen to provide a cross section of professional skills, life experience and background and to represent the geographic areas served by Cross Road Health Ministries, Inc. A majority of board members are patients of the medical center.
